There was a stir in the city police commissionerate on Monday when retired police jamadar Mahendra Namdevrao Sarkate, lying on a stretcher in an injured condition, reached the CP office along with his family members. If the retirement salary was not received within 15 days, then by giving an ultimatum to commit suicide, CP Dr. Arti Singh was requested.
Court acquitted innocent
It was told in the request that when Sarkate was in service, there were allegations of corruption against him. In this case, the court had acquitted him. Similarly, the accused Ingle was acquitted in the case. That’s why Sarkte retired on 30 June 2016 as per this age. On the day of retirement, judicial and departmental inquiry was not pending on Sarkate and he was acquitted in the corruption case.
That is why, being subject to appeal, presented the pension case to the Nagpur Accountant General to get full retirement salary. Similarly, other benefits include leave money, guarantee amount, payment of DCR amount, approval of improved salary increase, such request was made by police personnel Sarkate in the request given to CP.
