According to experts, Vanamati’s father, born in a poor family in Kerala, was a taxi driver and used to run the household expenses. This is the reason that after completing high school, relatives started pressurizing their marriage. But, with the support of his parents, he insisted on fulfilling his dream. To become an IAS officer, he had to rebel against his family. Vanmati had refused the marriage. After this he took his graduation and then post graduation degree in computer application. After completing his studies, he started preparing for UPSC.

Along with this, he also took a job in a private bank to meet his own expenses. However, she failed in the first attempt of UPSC but she did not give up. In 2015, she gave the exam again and with struggle and hard work, she cleared the exam.
He did many minor works in the early days of his life. She took care of the responsibilities of feeding the cattle and rearing the domestic animals. They also had to go for buffalo grazing. However, studies always came first for him, as his goal was to become an IAS officer. He secured 152nd rank in All India. Presently she is working as a District IAS Officer.
Vanmati got the inspiration to become an IAS from both reel and real life. The first was that woman, who had come to her home town as the District Collector. The other was a TV show called Yamuna Saraswati, which starred the lead lady as an IAS officer. Vanmati is a source of inspiration for all those women, who give up their dreams in the middle of the situation.
