Holidays in october 2021: Festival season begins in October. Banks will remain closed for a total of 21 days this month due to different festivals in different states. These 21 holidays will be given in different states. If you also have work in the bank then check this list.
According to the state in which you live, know on which days banks will be closed. Out of the 21 days of October holidays, 14 days are the list of holidays issued by RBI. Rest 7 days are weekend holidays which include Saturday-Sunday.

October 1 – Half yearly closing (Gangtok). During the half yearly closing, there is a lot of accounting work in the bank, due to which this leave is given after the closing.
October 2 – Due to Mahatma Gandhi Jayanti, banks and all government institutions across the country remain closed on this day.
October 3 – Sunday is the day.
October 6 – Mahalaya is Amavasya. Mahalya Amavasya is a holiday before the 9 days of Navami begin. This holiday is for Agartala, Kolkata and Bangalore.
October 7 – Thursday Banks will remain closed in Haryana on account of Maharaja Agrasen Jayanti. On the other hand, banks will remain closed due to Manipur’s religious festival Mera Chaoren Houba.
October 9 – Banks across the country will be closed due to second Saturday.

October 10 – Banks across the country will be closed due to Sunday holiday.
October 12 – Banks will remain closed in Agartala and Kolkata due to Durga Puja being Mahasaptami.
October 13 – Banks will remain closed in Agartala, Bhubaneshwar, Kolkata, Gangtok, Guwahati, Patna and Ranchi due to Durga Puja being Maha Ashtami.
October 14 – Banks will remain closed in Agartala, Bhubaneswar, Kolkata, Gangtok, Guwahati, Kanpur, Lucknow, Shillong, Srinagar, Thiruvananthapuram, Patna and Ranchi due to Durga Puja being Mahanavami.
October 15 – Banks across the country will remain closed due to Dussehra. But on this day, the work will continue in the banks of Imphal and Shimla.
October 16 – Banks will remain closed in Gangtok due to Durga Puja.
October 17 – Banks across the country will be closed due to Sunday holiday.
October 18 – Due to Kati Bihu, the banks of Guwahati will remain closed.
October 19 – Eid-e-Milad or Milad-e-Sharif is celebrated on the birthday of Prophet Muhammad, due to which banks will remain closed. Banks in Ahmedabad, Belapur, Bhopal, Chennai, Dehradun, Hyderabad, Imphal, Jammu, Kanpur, Kochi, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, Delhi, Raipur, Ranchi, Srinagar and Thiruvananthapuram will remain closed on this day.
October 20 – Banks in Agartala, Bengaluru, Chandigarh, Kolkata and Shimla will remain closed on account of Maharishi Valmiki Jayanti.
October 22 – Banks will remain closed in Jammu and Srinagar today due to the first Jumma after Eid-e-Milad.
October 23 – Banks will be closed today due to fourth Saturday.
October 24 – Banks across the country will be closed due to Sunday holiday.
October 26 – Banks will remain closed in Jammu-Srinagar today.
October 31 – Banks across the country will be closed due to Sunday holiday.
