Nagpur. Regarding the plight of Nagpur to Malkapur and Wardha to Sindkhedraja National Highway. A public interest litigation was filed in the High Court on behalf of Arun Patil. Similarly, matters were raised in the High Court from time to time on behalf of the petitioner regarding the roads of other parts. During Wednesday’s hearing, the NHAI told the court that the work on the said highway has been started on time. According to the stipulated time, not only widening but also improvement work is being done.
Work is progressing at speed. Possibly within 2 months the information about the completion of the work was given by NHAI. After this, Justice Sunil Shukre and Justice Anil Pansare adjourned the hearing till January 27. On behalf of the petitioner Firdous Mirza argued.
Bhusaval-Dhule highway ignored
After the information furnished by the NHAI, the court said that the highway between Bhusaval and Dhule has been ignored at the primary level. Appropriate initiatives should be taken by the National Highways Authority of India to develop these routes as well. The court also issued orders to develop them without wasting time. Whether the work of this route can be done at the earliest or not, the court has given time to the NHAI to give information in this regard. Along with this, the senior advocate was also instructed to take information in this regard.
good expansion of roads
The court said in the order that good work is being done by NHAI regarding road development. Especially development is taking place in different parts of Maharashtra. Apart from Mumbai and Nagpur, the work of connecting the roads between the National Highway connecting to the eastern parts of the country has been done well. However, steps are being taken to develop roads across the state as per the detailed and detailed plan. But the said stretch remains due to which the court issued orders.
