A fast-thinking neighbor saved lives in a three-alarm in a single day home fireplace in Roslindale, and is being celebrated by his neighbors for his “heroic” actions.
The fireplace that ate up a lot of 10 Delford St. in Roslindale was reported to the Boston Fire Department by 12:10 a.m. Saturday, in line with a division spokesman. But minutes earlier than that, next-door neighbor Clidfod Saint-Jean, 42, had heard a noise from the opposite facet of his own residence and went out to analyze.
Outside, he advised the Herald, he noticed flames capturing up from the porch subsequent door and heard a father and a daughter crying, “Help me! Help me!”
