Nagpur. The prices of green vegetables are on fire. In the season selling for Rs 5-10 a kg, the heat of green vegetables is troubling everyone. Most of the people used to get vegetables on the roads for Rs 5-10 in the winter season, but this time people are blown away by hearing the price in the wholesale market. According to traders, traders of Nagpur are sending vegetables to the southern states i.e. Tamil Nadu, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, due to which the prices have increased.
Traders said that vegetables have run out due to heavy rains in the southern states. The possibilities are not even remotely visible. Because of this there is a lot of demand there. The traders here have started sending vegetables there. Due to this, vegetables are going to the southern state in bulk. Due to shortage of goods, prices are boiling in the local market.

Anyway, vegetables are not able to reach the market till now due to low production around. These days brinjal used to get Rs 5 a kg but this time the price is Rs 40 per kg in the wholesale market.
