Jaipur: Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has given instructions to stop the auction of agricultural land of farmers who do not repay the loan by banks. In a statement here on Thursday, the Chief Minister said, “The commercial banks under the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) in the state are taking action to confiscate and auction the land of farmers unable to repay the loans under the RODA (Removal of Difficulties) Act.” Were. The Chief Minister has said that the State Government has waived off the loans of cooperative banks and urged the Central Government to waive off the loans of farmers by making one-time settlement from commercial banks. The state government is ready to bear its share in this too.

He said, “Our government had passed a bill in the assembly to ban auction of land of farmers having agricultural land up to five acres, but it has not yet become a law due to lack of permission of the governor.
