There was a bull run in the market today and the market managed to close at a record level. Nifty touched 18000 level in intraday. Along with Sensex-Nifty, Bank Nifty also saw record breaking gains today. On the other hand, good gains were also seen in mid and smallcap stocks. The BSE Midcap index closed at 0.88 per cent and the Smallcap index gained 1 per cent.
Auto, Realty, Banking, Power, Metal, Capital Goods all stocks saw gains in today’s trade. In today’s trade, 34 out of 50 stocks of Nifty were seen buying. On the other hand, buying dominated 20 out of 30 Sensex stocks.
At the end of trading, the Sensex closed at 60,135.78 with a gain of 76.72 points, or 0.13 per cent. On the other hand, the Nifty closed at 17,945.95 with a gain of 50.75 points, or 0.28 per cent.

The company will also buy 40 per cent stake in STERLING-WILSON. Shares of S&W SOLAR have also jumped 8 per cent today. In this morning’s trading, shares of Reliance Industries ran up about 2 percent on the NSE. In today’s trading, this stock also hit its new 52-week high. Tata Consultancy Services | CMP: Rs 3,686.50 | The stock fell more than 6 per cent today after the second quarter results were weaker than expected. The mood of IT stocks worsened on the performance of TCS. Nifty IT Index has seen a weakness of 2.5 percent today.
Tata Motors | CMP: Rs 415.65 | Despite a decline of over 18 per cent in retail sales in the quarter ended September, the stock gained more than 8 per cent today.
JSW Steel | CMP: Rs 672.40 | The stock rose 1 per cent today amid reports of a 29 per cent rise in the company’s steel production on a quarterly basis in Q2FY22.
Glenmark Pharmaceuticals | CMP: Rs 533.80 | The company has launched a drug used in the treatment of COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease) in Spain. Due to this news, today the stock ran up 1 percent.
Sunteck Realty | CMP: Rs 510.50 | In H1FY21, the company’s pre-sales grew by 36% on a quarterly basis and 55% on a year-on-year basis. In rupee terms, the company’s pre-sales figure during this period has been Rs 272 crore.
Maruti Suzuki India | CMP: Rs 7,697.90 | The company’s production in September 2021 has been 81,278 units. Last September, the company’s production stood at 1,66,086 units. Today this stock is up 3 percent today.
