There was a consolidation phase in the market today but the market finally managed to close in the green. In today’s trading, there has been a record closing of Sensex, Nifty and Bank Nifty. On the other hand, mid and smallcap stocks also saw gains. The BSE Midcap index closed with gains of 0.65 per cent and Smallcap index by 0.26 per cent.
At the end of trading, the Sensex closed at 60,284.31 with a gain of 148.53 points, or 0.25 per cent. On the other hand, Nifty closed at 17,991.95 with a gain of 46.00 points or 0.26 percent.
