Aurangabad: The repair work of Kham River is being done by Municipal Commissioner and Administrator Astik Kumar Pandey and his associates under My Vasundhara Abhiyan. Unprecedented work was done throughout the year to restore the river to its former glory. MLA Ambadas Danve appreciated this work.
Funding is needed for this work to enhance the beauty of the city along with environment and tourism. Meanwhile, a DPR of Rs 60 crore has been prepared by the corporation for the Kham river development work. Send this DPR by Monday, MLA Danve promised to do his best to provide funds from the government’s side on Saturday. The repair work of Kham river is going on for fifty consecutive weeks. MLA Ambadas Danve inspected the development work and beautification of the river from iron bridge to hot water on Saturday.

Once upon a time this river was known as Nala. Now the river is really beautiful. In the coming times, Kham river will be known as a tourist destination and it will be a good facility for the people of Aurangabad. MLA Danve said that the work of changing the face of Kham river has been possible due to the initiative of city administrator and administrator Astik Kumar Pandey. “I support this initiative and I will stand firm,” he said. Municipal Commissioner and Administrator Astik Kumar Pandey gave detailed information about the development works of Kham river. River repair is not about making a solid forest by the river. The city is alive if the river is alive and so the river is being revived and eco-friendly development is taking place on the river-citizen-private-government model. It is not possible to clean the river in a year. It will take at least 10 years. Fifty thousand trees have been planted, two gardens, one footpath. Municipal Corporation Administrator Astik Kumar Pandey said that a large number of citizens would come here for morning walk, where trees are raining, if the river is alive then the city will be alive.
