Mumbai: ‘Content on Demand’ service has been started for free entertainment of passengers traveling by local train of Central Railway. GM, Central Railway, Anil Kumar Lahoti inaugurated the infotainment service at CSMT station. At present, it has been started in 10 rakes of local trains.
It was told that for free entertainment, passengers will have to download an app called Sugar Box. For this Central Railway and M/s Margo Network Pvt. Ltd. has entered into an agreement. Travelers will not need internet or WiFi for local entertainment.

GM Anil Kumar Lahoti himself, taking experience of the Content on Demand service, said that this will not only provide free entertainment to the local passengers, but also the Central Railway will get Rs 8.17 crore non-fare revenue in 5 years from the contract of ‘Content on Demand’. The GM informed that the non-fare revenue of Central Railway for the period April to January 2021-22 is 22.57 crores, which is 295% more than the corresponding period of last year and top among all Zonal Railways. He said that soon the content on demand service would be started in all the 165 EMU rakes.
