The ex-Hopkinton Police deputy chief who allegedly raped a 15-year-old pupil whereas he was a college useful resource officer has an arraignment date for the kid rape fees.
John “Jay” Porter, 54, is ready to be arraigned on the three fees of kid rape on Tuesday, May 9 at 12 p.m.
The 30-year veteran with the Hopkinton Police Department has been indicted by a Middlesex County grand jury. It was a direct indictment, so it’s a summons arraignment subsequent week.
Porter allegedly assaulted a 15-year-old pupil in 2004 and 2005. He was the police division’s first faculty useful resource officer.
He’s accused of assaulting the scholar a number of instances off faculty property.
This investigation was dealt with by the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office and Massachusetts State Police.
Last August, Porter was positioned on administrative depart by Hopkinton Police pending the result of an investigation. As of Friday, April 28, Porter was now not a member of the Hopkinton Police Department.
“On Friday, Porter notified the town that he is seeking to retire, and the town accepted his immediate separation from employment,” city officers stated in an announcement.
Porter had been with the Hopkinton Police Department since 1992.
Last July, a month earlier than Porter was positioned on administrative depart, he marked 30 years of service with the Hopkinton Police Department. His identify was added to the Hopkinton Police Department 30 Years of Service Award plaque in recognition of the milestone.
