The Republic Day parade is of 90 minutes in total.
New Delhi, India will celebrate its 73rd Republic Day on 26 January 2022. Every year on this day, the Republic Day Parade 2022 is held at Rajpath. This parade starts every year at 10 am. But, this time the Republic Day parade will start half an hour late.
The special thing is that, for the first time in 75 years, the Republic Day parade will start late. Actually, this year the Republic Day parade will start late due to Corona protocol and tribute meeting. First, tributes will be paid to the security personnel who lost their lives in Jammu and Kashmir, after which the parade will begin.
The Republic Day parade is of 90 minutes in total. Every year on 26th January it starts at 10 am on Rajpath. But, this time the Republic Day parade will start at 10:30. This parade will be of 8 kms. The Republic Day Parade starts from Raisina Hill and ends at Red Fort via Rajpath, India Gate. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will pay homage to the martyrs by laying wreaths at the Amar Jawan Jyoti at India Gate and the National War Memorial, before the start of the Republic Day parade.

Ahead of the Republic Day 2022, Delhi Police has beefed up security in and around Rajpath. Around 300 CCTV cameras have been installed and facial recognition systems have also been installed. The system has a database of about 50,000 suspected criminals. Due to Corona, only 24 thousand people can attend this ceremony.
This year, the Republic Day 2022 parade at Rajpath will see the “biggest and grand” flypast ever with a total of 75 aircraft. Air Force Public Relations Officer Wing Commander Indranil Nandy said, “This year’s flypast will be big and grand when 75 aircraft of the Indian Air Force, Army and Navy will take off during the Republic Day parade. This will be in line with the Amrit Mahotsav celebrations of Azadi.”
Rafale, Indian Navy’s MiG-29K, P-8I surveillance aircraft and Jaguar fighter jets are going to participate in the Republic Day parade. The Indian Air Force will also be showcasing its tableau for the Republic Day celebrations, which also has fighter jets like Light Combat Helicopter, Ashlesha Mk 1 Radar, Rafale, MiG 21.
