Pune : After a week of warm nights in February, Pune recorded a drop in the minimum temperature on Tuesday and the mercury dropped to 11.5 degrees Celsius. According to IMD, cold wind is blowing from the north. However, a trend of increase in night temperature can be seen in the next few days.
The minimum temperature in Pune was 0.9 degrees Celsius, which was cooler than normal. Whereas on Tuesday the day temperature was recorded at 32.1 degree Celsius. According to the Meteorological Department, February started on a cooler note with the minimum temperature dipping to 9.9 degrees Celsius on February 1.

Anupam Kashyapi, head of the weather forecast department of IMD Pune, said that the night temperature will remain around 11 till February 17. However, the day temperature will be around 30 degree Celsius. The sky will remain clear till February 17. After that, in the afternoon, the sky can be cloudy over Pune. He said that in the next few days, there is a possibility of foggy in the morning at some places of the city.
Pune was the second coldest place
Pune was the second coldest place in Maharashtra on Tuesday. While Nashik recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 11.4 degree Celsius. Sangli recorded the highest maximum temperature in Maharashtra at 34.4 degrees Celsius on Tuesday.
No significant change in temperature till 18
According to the IMD, there will be no significant change in the minimum temperature till February 18, although after February 18, an increase of two to four degrees Celsius may be recorded in the minimum temperature.
