Mumbai: The greenfield Navi Mumbai International Airport being built in the picturesque plains of Panvel will be ready by the end of 2024. It was expected to be ready in the year 2022, but now this airport will be ready in the year 2024. This was expressed by the Deputy Chief Minister of the state Ajit Pawar recently. He announced this after a meeting at CIDCO.
Adani Airport Holdings Ltd. (AAHL), the Navi Mumbai International Airport under construction under the leadership of Adani Company is expected to be commissioned by the end of 2024. That is, in 2024, the first flight will operate from Navi Mumbai. The construction work of the airport is in progress.

India will become the world’s third largest aviation market by 2024 when the greenfield Navi Mumbai International Airport becomes operational. After the construction of this airport, there will be a total of 8 airports in the portfolio of the Adani Group. Mumbai Airport is the second busiest airport in India in terms of both passenger and cargo traffic. With eight airports in its management and development portfolio, AAHL has now become India’s largest airport infrastructure company. At present, AAHL controls 33 per cent of India’s air cargo traffic.
