New Delhi: On Wednesday, the first case of death due to Omicron Death, a new form of corona virus, has been reported in the country. A person from Udaipur in Rajasthan died last week and Omicron has been confirmed in him. Sources in the Union Health Ministry gave this information.
They reported that Omicron was confirmed in the genome sequencing of a sample of the individual (73). At the same time, after testing twice, negative reports of infection came and on December 31, he died in Udaipur hospital.

Udaipur’s Chief Medical Officer (CMHO) Dr Dinesh Kharadi said that the person died of post-Covid pneumonia and was already suffering from diabetes, hypertension and hypothyroidism.
The person was found infected with the corona virus on 15 December and had symptoms like fever, cough and rhinitis, after which he was admitted to the hospital. Their test samples were sent for genome sequencing and the report received on December 25 confirmed Omicron. Later on December 21 and December 25, the report came negative in the investigation.
