- Energy Minister’s reply on the starred question of MLA Sandeep Dhurve
Yavatmal, Electricity is being supplied to the farmers across the state through three phases for 8 hours a day and 8 hours at night for crop irrigation. given on the question.
In Yavatmal district and at all places in the state, farmers are complaining about power supply only at night for irrigation, in this context, Arni-Kelapur Election Association MLA Dr. Sandeep Dhurve starred question in the economic session of the assembly. raised. To which Energy Minister Raut gave a written reply. Farmers will be given power supply through a circular system for eight hours a day at night. He gave such information.
Keeping the main objective of providing electricity to the farmers during the day, the government has made a long-term plan through decentralized solar power projects under the Chief Minister’s Solar Krishi Vahini Yojna. Under this, Mahavitaran Company has signed an agreement to purchase 1440 MW of electricity. Out of these, a project of 400 MW capacity has been implemented and three phase power supply has been started to 57 thousand 392 agricultural customers of 133 agricultural channels for 8 hours a day and at night.
Similarly, the Chief Minister Solar Krishipump Yojana is being run by the government to set up 1 lakh solar farm pumps to make it easier for the farmers to irrigate during the day. Raut said that the Union Ministry of Power has announced components A and K for the farmers, Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha and Utthan Maha Abhiyan Yojana (PM KUSUM).
Under this, the tender process of Mahavitaran, similarly, under Kusum Yojana component B through Maharashtra Energy Development Agency (MEDA), aims to install 1 lakh transmissionless solar agricultural pumps every year. On the issue of electricity supply to the farmers of MLA Dr. Sandeep Dhurve.
There is a big problem in irrigation, technical and power failure
It is worth mentioning that in Yavatmal district, at present, electricity is supplied by Mahavitaran Company to the fields of rural areas for 8 hours a day and even at night. In order to pay the outstanding bills to the farmers who had not paid the bills of agricultural pumps for a long time, the company, while running a special campaign, gave exemption and convenience in the amount of the bill under the scheme, which the farmers also supported. But in most of the tehsils of the district, the Mahavitaran Company has not been able to reduce the technical problems of power supply for the agricultural pumps.
While irrigating crops during the day, there are various cases including transformer, technical failure in DP, sudden power failure, on the one hand, the officials of the Mahavitaran company claim to supply electricity to the farmers 7 days a week, on the other hand there is a power failure. And after that, if we calculate the repair hours, then due to technical problems, farmers are not getting electricity for more than 4 days in a week.
So on the other hand, due to the unique rule of providing electricity to the agricultural pumps at night, if farmers do not get electricity during the day, then they have to put their lives at risk at night and irrigate the crop by passing through the forests in the fields and awakening. Due to which the officials of the government and the Mahavitaran company supply electricity in the early morning instead of at night, then the farmers of Asha district will be doing the same with sufficient electricity.
