Pune: Due to non-payment of outstanding bills, the electricity connections of the farmers have been cut by Mahavitaran. The farmers of the district are very angry about this. In protest, farmers blocked the road for about two hours at Indapur Maloji Raje Chowk on the Pune-Solapur National Highway. Thousands of farmers expressed their discontent during this.
Under the leadership of former state minister Harshvardhan Patil, the farmers demanded that the disconnected connections be added immediately. Farmers should be supplied regular electricity for 10 hours every day, electricity bill should be collected on hourly basis and demand was made to improve the electricity bill collected immediately.
After the assurance of the state government, the farmers withdrew
The farmers withdrew the agitation after the state government gave the assurance to the opposition leader Devendra Fadnavis to connect the disconnected electricity connections to the agricultural pumps before the end of the convention, but if the decision is not taken by the government in two days, then the aggressive agitation The warning was given by BJP leader Harsh Vardhan.
