Cabinet Minister Harsimrat Kaur resigned on Thursday late evening in protest against the bill passed by the Lok Sabha.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi (Narendra Modi) said that the new agricultural bills passed by the Lok Sabha were favourable for the farmers and said that this would increase the income of farmers across the country. Also, they will get freedom from middlemen. People who are spreading confusion about this, need to be careful with them.
The PM said that now it is being propagated that the benefit of MSP will not be given to the farmers by the government. It is also being said that the government will not buy paddy, wheat etc. from farmers. This is a false lie, wrong, farmers are deceived. Giving freedom to farmers to sell their products to anyone, anywhere in the country, is a very historic step. Our government is committed to providing fair prices to farmers through MSP. Government procurement will continue as before.
On the occasion of inauguration of development projects in Bihar, the Prime Minister said that on the day of Vishwakarma Jayanti, the historic Agrarian Reforms Bill has been passed in the Lok Sabha. These bills have freed our Annadata farmers from many bonds, have freed them. These reforms will provide more options and more opportunities for farmers to sell their produce. But some people who have been in power for decades, have ruled the country, they are trying to confuse the farmers on this subject, lying to the farmers.
He said that this bill was very important to protect the middlemen between the farmer and the customer, who take a large part of the farmers’ earnings themselves. These bills have come as a defence shield for the farmers.
Wherever the farmer likes, he will sell his crop
The PM said that in the 21st century, the farmer of India, not in bondage, will do free farming. Wherever the mind comes, it will sell its products, it will not be tempted by any middleman and will increase its yield, its income too. Some people are supporting the middlemen, they are supporting the farmers’ money with the looters in between.
“I want to give a clear message to the farmers of the country today. Do not get into any kind of confusion. Farmers of the country have to be vigilant with these people. Beware of those who ruled the country for decades and who are lying to the farmers today. “
PM Modi said,
“Any person can sell his product anywhere in the world, wherever he can. But only my peasant brothers and sisters were denied this right. Now, with the new provisions in force, the farmer will be able to sell his crop in any market of the country, at his desired price. “
Some people are doing politics: PM
PM Modi said that the people who are now doing politics about the APMC Act are opposing the change in the provisions of the agricultural market, these people had also written about the same change in their manifesto. But now that the NDA government has made this change, these people have come down to oppose it. They used to talk big to woo the farmers at the time of election and forget after the election. And today, when the NDA government is doing the same things, our government is dedicated to farmers, then they are spreading all sorts of illusions.
Two important bills passed by Lok Sabha
Two important bills for agricultural reform in the country have been passed by the Lok Sabha. These are the “Farmers Produce Trade and Commerce (Promotion and Simplification) Bill, 2020” and “The Farmers (Empowerment and Protection) Price Assurance and Agreements Bill on Agricultural Services, 2020”.
Due to the Covid-19 epidemic, the Union Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi approved the ordinances in this regard on June 5. To replace these ordinances in the Lok Sabha as a bill, the proposal was made by Union Minister Tomar, after a discussion on which Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla declared them passed.
Every Simrat Kaur resigns, Tomar takes charge

Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar has been given additional charge of Ministry of Food Processing. Shiromani was the only representative from the Akali Dal in the Modi government.
Harsimrat Kaur Badal resigns from Modi government
Earlier, Sukhbir Singh Badal had spoken in the Lok Sabha about Harsimrat’s resignation. Soon after, Kaur submitted his resignation to the Prime Minister’s Office. The Shiromani Akali Dal is continuously opposing the agricultural bills. Sukhbir Singh Badal says that our party has been requesting the Center that till all the objections of the farmers’ organizations, farmers and agricultural labourers on these three bills related to agriculture are resolved, they will give them to the approval of Parliament.
