- pointed to the central government
Akola. Energy Minister Nitin Raut organized a meeting in his ministry regarding the expansion of Paras Electricity Thermal House Center on the request of Praveen Bhotkar, president of local Maharashtra State Patient Sevak and Shramik Kamgar Sangathan. In which the Energy Minister Raut has said that it is impossible to expand the thermal power project in Paras. In this context, Energy Minister Nitin Raut pointed to the central government.
The central government has refused to build a new electric thermal house construction project. He gave clear indications that the expansion of Paras Electric Thermal House project is not possible in the absence of coal. There is a shortage of coal all over the country. Paras’ electric thermal house project will be expanded first when the central government gives permission to construct a new electric thermal house. But this is not possible without the permission of the Central Government, Energy Minister Nitin Raut made such an excuse.
On this occasion, Bhotkar said that now the solar power project is being constructed after acquiring the land of the farmers for the electric thermal house project. This is a fraud with the farmers, he alleged. On which the state government is positive about the land of the farmers coming under the project, the Energy Minister said. We will support the decision taken by the central government, he made it clear.
The Energy Minister categorically refused to give more compensation for the land to the local farmers. The aggrieved workers are getting Rs 15,000. Salary is quite low. It was increased to Rs. 25,000. Bhotkar made this demand. In this regard, the Energy Minister directed to submit a proposal to the Energy Department. The expansion of the favorable Paras electric thermal house project is not possible in the absence of the policy of the central government regarding the solar power project. That is, the hopes of the electric thermal house project in Paras have been tarnished. The central and state governments are favorable to the solar power project, it appeared.
In the project meeting, MLA Nitin Deshmukh also demanded justice to the farmers by expanding the electric thermal house project in Paras. Project Director Chandrakant Thotwe, Chief Engineer Surendra Mahore, Executive Director Thangpandian, Sanjay Marodkar were prominently present in the meeting on behalf of the Energy Department. On the other hand, General Director Mahaurja Pune, Superintendent Jal Jeevan Mission Amravati, Regional Director Nagpur Mahavitaran, Chief Engineer Paras and Akola were present through video conferencing.
