Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav on Tuesday accused the Election Commission of seriously guarding the Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs). Akhilesh’s allegations come at a time when a video of EVMs found in a vehicle in Varanasi district is viral on social media with less than two days left for the counting of votes to begin.
Akhilesh said in a press conference, “Varanasi DM is taking EVM machines from one place to another without informing the local candidates. Election Commission should act on it.” The SP chief said, “If EVMs are being transported in this way then everyone needs to be alert. It is theft. We have to save our vote. We can go to court against it, but before that I am all citizens.” I want to appeal to all honest officers and journalists to save democracy.”
Officials tampering with EVMs: Akhilesh Yadav
Former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav alleged that Samajwadi Party is winning in Banaras and Ayodhya, hence there is panic in BJP and Election Commission officials are tampering with EVMs.
Akhilesh said, “What is the reason that EVM machines are being transported without security. Without the candidate’s knowledge, you cannot move EVMs from one place to another. After all, why EVM machines are not being moved with the security forces.” Was.”

All the candidate-supporters were asked to be ready with the camera
Akhilesh said in a tweet, “The news of EVM being caught in Varanasi is giving a message to every Vidhan Sabha of UP to be alert. All the candidates and supporters of the SP-Alliance are on their cameras to thwart the attempt of rigging in the counting of votes. Be ready with. Youth become soldiers in counting of votes to protect democracy and future!”
Exit polls have been done to cover up BJP’s theft
Akhilesh Yadav said, “Samajwadi Party is winning in Benaras and Ayodhya. Our alliance will reach 300 seats. Exit polls have been done to cover up what is stolen. Uttar Pradesh elections are the last battle of democracy.” After this people will have to revolutionize then only change will come.”
He said, “I will tell the people of my party that where the machines have been kept, till the counting is not done, no one should come there and keep an eye on it. The results of the exit polls have come yesterday. With this, these people want to create the impression that BJP is winning, so that even if they steal, they will not even know that theft has taken place. This is a big threat to democracy.
Swami Prasad Maurya also alleges EVM tampering
Meanwhile, Swami Prasad Maurya, who left the BJP before the elections and joined the Samajwadi Party, has accused EVMs of rigging. Swami Prasad Maurya said in a tweet, “The thief should go by stealing, do not go by rigging. Yogi government still wants to dacoity on the mandate by rigging the EVM machine. Now I understand that Why is the BJP pretending to form the government even after being cleared. Video of DCM filled with EVM machines, Shivpur Vidhan Sabha, Varanasi.”
