DU First Cut Off List 2021: The first cutoff list for undergraduate merit based admission in colleges of Delhi University (DU) will be released tomorrow i.e. on October 1. After this, the second and third list will also be released by DU on October 9 and October 16 respectively. If the seats remain vacant even after the third cut-off list, DU will also release another cut-off list.
Candidates who have applied will be able to check it by visiting the official website of DU, du.ac.in. In addition, the cut-off link will also be available on the admission portal admission.uod.ac.in. This time the cut-off is likely to be higher than last year as more than 70,000 students have secured more than 95 per cent marks in the 12th CBSE board exams this time.
A college principal, requesting anonymity, said that he is analyzing the data and this time the cut-off will be higher than last year. Dr Bijaylaxmi Nanda, principal of Miranda House College, told PTI that she has spoken to the principals of CBSE schools and they told them that this year the number of students securing 95 per cent or above is slightly higher. He said that there would be no 100% cut-off for any course in the college.
Nanda said that there will be a slight change in the cut-off as compared to last time. The cut-off will be close to 100% but we will be realistic with them. He said that in some subjects of Political Science (Honours), BA programme, Physics (Hons) etc., the increase in cutoff will be from 0.25 per cent to 0.5 per cent. Last year, Lady Shri Ram College had 100% cut off for three courses.
Rajdhani College Principal Dr Rajesh Giri said that there will be an increase of two percent in the cut-off in all courses in his college as compared to last year. Due to the corona virus epidemic, about 70,000 seats in various undergraduate courses in various colleges of DU will be admitted online. After the release of the first cut-off on October 1, the admission process will start at 10 am on October 4 and will continue till 11.59 pm on October 6.
At the same time, the second cut-off will be announced on October 9, for which the admission process will start at 10 am on October 11 and will continue till 11.59 pm on October 13. DU said that under the second list, admissions will be approved till 5 pm on October 14 and the last date for payment of fees will be October 15 till 5 pm.
Whereas the third list will be declared on October 16, in which the admission process will start from 10 am on October 18. Students will be able to take admission till October 21 at 11.59 pm. DU said that the colleges will accept admissions by 5 pm on October 22 and the last date for payment of fees will be October 23 till 5 pm. DU said that if seats remain vacant in the college, other cut-off lists will also be announced.
