The letter issued by Sichuan Airlines stated that the airline is suspending its cargo service on six routes, including Xi’an-Delhi.
Sichuan Airlines
China (China) has increased the difficulties of Coronavirus In India. In fact, China’s state-owned Sichuan Airlines has suspended all its cargo flights to India for the next 15 days. Due to this, there has been a big obstacle in getting the necessary oxygen concentrators and other medical supplies from private traders to China. It is to be noted here that China had offered support and assistance to India a few days ago. After this, this step has been taken by the Chinese government.
The letter issued by the sales agent of Sichuan Chuanhang Logistics Corporation Limited, part of Sichuan Airlines, said that the airline was suspending its cargo service on six routes including Xi’an-Delhi. The decision came amidst serious efforts by private traders on both sides of the border to buy oxygen concentrators from China. According to the letter issued by the company, due to the sudden change in the state of the epidemic (India), the number of imports has come down. Therefore, it has been decided to suspend flights for the next 15 days.
The decision will be reviewed in 15 days
The letter said, the Indian route has always been the main strategic route of Sichuan Airlines. The closure of this route by the company will result in heavy losses. We apologize for this unsettled situation. According to the letter, the company will review the decision in the next 15 days. Agents and consignees are surprised by the ban on cargo flights. These people are trying to buy oxygen concentrator from China. There are also complaints that sugar producers have increased the price of oxygen related equipment from 35 to 40 percent. Freight charges have also been increased by about 20 percent.
Important goods will reach India via Singapore or any other country
Siddharth Sinha of Sino Global Logistics, a consignment company in Shanghai, said that Sichuan Airlines’ decision would impede businessmen from both countries to buy oxygen concentrators and ship them to India. He said that now it will be more challenging to send these devices and they will have to be sent by various airlines through Singapore and other countries, which will delay the supply of these essential equipment. Sinha said that the postponement of flights is surprising, citing the situation of the COVID-19 in India, as no crew member going to India is diverted and only the crew members bring the aircraft back.
