District Collector Sharma said that due to the new type of corona virus ‘Omicron’, there is a need to take precautions. The Health Department should update the COVID Care Centre, COVID Care Health Care and COVID Care Health Hospital and immediately appoint medical officers and staff there. Inspect the ventilators of the Intensive Care Unit and train the concerned medical officers to keep the patients ready for treatment.

He said that adequate stock of necessary machinery, oxygen, medicine should be planned from now on. When planning to have enough oxygen for at least 24 hours, check its technical aspects. In case of any person suffering from corona virus in this clinic, the health department should be informed immediately. Simultaneously, the control room should be activated at the district level. Citizens need to behave according to COVID, use masks regularly and follow physical distancing. For this, the corporation and the police force should make a joint team and investigate on the spot. Such orders have been given by Collector Sharma to take penal action against those who violate the rules.
Need to increase vaccination rate
There is a need to increase the vaccination rate in Dhulia district. For this, create awareness in urban and rural areas, take the help of public representatives and NGOs to take the first dose. Citizens should be encouraged to take a second dose of the vaccine. Get the citizens vaccinated from door to door.
