Jammu. Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPI-M) leader Yousuf Tarigami has termed the draft recommendations of the Delimitation Commission on Jammu and Kashmir as “divisive and unacceptable”, claiming that it seeks to make the people of Kashmir politically and powerless. There is another step in that direction.
Tarigami (Mohammad Yousuf Tarigami) said that out of the newly formed assembly constituencies, six for Jammu and only one for Kashmir is not justified and it will increase the differences between regions and communities. He said that the Delimitation Commission constituted under the Jammu and Kashmir Reorganization Act-2019 itself is under question as the reorganization law has been challenged in the Supreme Court.
