Delhi Weekend Curfew Details: Amidst the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, the announcement of Weekend Curfew in Delhi has been announced. Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has announced this after meeting Lt. Governor Anil Baijal. Weekend curfew will be in place from 10 am on Friday night to 6 am on Monday. On Saturday and Sunday, barring essential services, the rest of the movement will be stopped. CM has appealed everyone to wear masks and follow the rules of social distancing. Pass for essential works, these services will remain closed
The Chief Minister said that we will give curfew passes to people associated with essential services and for weddings. Cinema halls can run at 30 per cent capacity. He said that the weekly market will be allowed in one day and according to one zone. Special arrangements are being made to ensure that there is not too much crowd in the weekly market.
Instructions are being given to close the mall, gym, spa, auditorium. CM said that no longer would be allowed to sit and eat in the restaurant, only home delivery would be allowed. He said that there is no shortage of beds in hospitals in Delhi. There are currently over 5,000 beds in Delhi.
Record new cases in Delhi
On Wednesday, a record 17,282 new cases of infection came in Delhi and 104 people died. Seeing the ever increasing cases of coronavirus infection, CM Kejriwal will meet LG today. Earlier on Wednesday evening, the Delhi government decided to convert Delhi Hotels into Extended Covid Hospital for the treatment of those caught by Corona’s uncontrollable speed. Under the DDMA Act, the Kejriwal government has linked private hospitals with hospitals and has ordered beds and treatment for COVID-19 patients in them.
