The Delhi High Court on Thursday asked the central government why Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra were given more oxygen at the behest of them, while Delhi’s allocation was not increased at the behest of the AAP government. This question was asked to the Center by a bench of Justice Vipin Sanghi and Rekha Palli from the Center. During the hearing, he said that either give some clarification to the central government or make changes, now that the situation has been brought before them.
Solicitor General Tushar Mehta said that the Central Government will answer the court’s question and Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra will also give reasons for giving more oxygen.
Mehta said that there are states which have got less than what they asked for. We are rationalizing it. Senior advocate Rahul Mehra placed before the court a list of oxygen and allocations demanded by several states and said that Delhi alone was not given what it was asking for, while others were given more than what was demanded by them or its Has been given closer.
The court was hearing issues related to the oxygen crisis and the COVID-19 epidemic.
