In India, under the third phase vaccination program, all people above the age of 18 years have been approved for dosing. However, due to the vaccine scarcity across the country, the vaccination program is not catching up. Now Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has requested the Central Government that the formula for making Corona virus vaccine should be shared with other companies in the country so that its production can be increased. According to Chief Minister Kejriwal, there is shortage of vaccine in many parts of the country and its production should be increased incidentally. According to Kejriwal, if only two companies in India are dependent on production, then the vaccination of all Indians will take more than 2 years. On the other hand, due to vaccine shortage in Maharashtra, the vaccination of people in the age group of 18-44 can be temporarily stopped.
Depending on two companies, vaccination will take 2 years
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal says that at present, only two companies in the country are making 6-7 crore vaccines every month. If the vaccine is made available at this pace, then according to Kejriwal, vaccination of all the countrymen may take more than 2 years. Kejriwal said that both companies can be given royalties if the vaccine formula is used by other companies. He said that if there is a further wave of corona, then there is a need to increase vaccine production on a war footing and a national plan should be made for vaccination of all people.

Serum Institute and Bharat Biotech are making vaccines
In India, two companies are making the Corona vaccine. This includes the Serum Institute of India in Pune and Bharat Biotech in Hyderabad. However, in view of the shortage of vaccine, the central government has decided to get the vaccine from abroad too. Under this, the first shipment of Russia’s Sputnik-5 vaccine has arrived in India a few days ago. Serum Institute is producing Kovyshield and Bharat Biotech Covaxin.
