Chandrapur, A revised order has been issued by reorganizing the committee constituted for effective implementation of Food Safety and Standards Act 2006 at the state and district level through the Medical Education and Medicine Department of the government and to solve the problem. Accordingly, a meeting was held in the District Magistrate’s office under the chairmanship of Upper District Magistrate Vidyut Varkhedkar.
A total of 135 samples were taken for analysis by the Food and Drug Administration in the year 2021-22. Out of this, 81 samples have been certified while 3 samples have been declared as substandard. Also 15 samples (banned food items) are declared unsafe. With the report of 36 samples pending, 700 new food licenses and registration applications were received by taking a total of 6 licenses and registration camps through the Food and Drug Administration. If a total of 50 establishments were investigated under the Repurpose Used Cooking Oil campaign, Mohite has given information that the total polar compound in any grain establishment is not more than 25.
Through the administration, various food establishments have been trained by the famous auditors through the Central Food Safety Honorary Authority, New Delhi.
In this meeting, the working of the Food and Drug Administration will be discussed in detail. Submit a proposal under the District Planning Committee to purchase new equipment and materials to run the Repurpose Used Cooking Oil campaign successfully.
The District Supply Officer and Assistant Commissioner (Food), Food and Drug Administration should take action for the license and registration tax, as the government, semi-government ration shop has made it mandatory to obtain food licenses and registration, as well as companies that have canteens or canteens under the Eat Right India campaign. Uphaar Griha is such companies that have taken hygiene rating as well as campus certification from the Central Food Safety Honorary Authority.
