New Delhi: After 67,084 new cases of COVID-19 (COVID-19) were reported in India in the last one day, the number of infected in the country increased to 4,24,78,060. At the same time, the number of patients under treatment has come down to 7,90,789. According to the updated data released by the Union Health Ministry at 8 am on Thursday, after the death of 1,241 more people from COVID-19 in the country, the total number of people who lost their lives to the infection increased to 5,06,520. Currently, 7,90,789 corona virus infections are being treated in the country, which is 1.86 percent of the total cases of infection.
According to the ministry, a decrease of 1,02,039 patients was registered in the last 24 hours in the number of patients under treatment for COVID-19. The national recovery rate of patients in the country is 96.95 percent. It is noteworthy that on 7 August 2020, the number of infected in the country had exceeded 20 lakh, on 23 August 2020, 30 lakh and on 5 September 2020, more than 40 lakh. The total cases of infection crossed 50 lakh on 16 September 2020, 60 lakh on 28 September 2020, 70 lakh on 11 October 2020, 80 lakh on 29 October 2020 and 90 lakh on 20 November.

On 19 December 2020, these cases had crossed one crore in the country. Last year, on May 4, the number of infected had crossed 20 million and on June 23, 2021, crossed 30 million. On January 26 this year, the cases crossed four crores.
