Work was going on without safety equipment
Sub-Inspector Yashwant Salunke, who is probing the case, said that preliminary investigation revealed that Praveen fell into the water tank as there was no safety measure and no protective material was provided to him during his work. The official feared that the tank was filled with untreated drainage water and due to this Pawan might have died.
