For this, the registration on the COWIN Portal has started from today (January 1). Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya has given this information. He has urged people on Twitter to register their family members in the age group of 15-18 years.
The Union Health Minister has tweeted that “Children are safe, so the future of the country is safe! On the occasion of New Year, registration is being started on COWIN portal for #COVID19 vaccination of children in the age group of 15 to 18 years from today. I request the family members to register the eligible children for vaccination.

All those children whose age is 15 years or more will be able to register themselves on Co-WIN. Therefore, anyone born on or after 2007 on the date of vaccination will be eligible for the COVID vaccine. For this, registration can be done through the existing Co-WIN platform in the same way as it was done for adults above 18 years of age. Children have been allowed to use their student ID card for registration. In such a situation, those children have got relief who do not have Aadhaar or any other certificate to prove their identity. Such children will also be able to register through student ID card. In addition, eligible people can register themselves on the site through the verifier/vaccinator in the Facilitated Registration Mode. Appointment can be booked on site.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi had announced on Christmas Day i.e. 25 December last year that from January 3, children between the age group of 15 to 18 years would be given the corona vaccine. This preparation dose will be started from January 10.
