The government has given permission for those places in the states and union territories from April 11, where there are about 100 eligible beneficiaries. Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan wrote in a letter to the Chief Secretaries that the organized sector of the economy has a substantial portion of the population aged 45 years and above and is involved in formal business or manufacturing or services in offices (government and private).
100 beneficiaries must be present
Bhushan said in the letter that COVID-19 vaccination sessions can be conducted in working places (both government and private) to increase vaccine access to these populations, which have about 100 eligible and willing beneficiaries. He said that states can start consultations with private / public sector employers and administration to prepare for the launch of vaccination. According to him, vaccinations with such place of work can be launched from 11 April 2021 in the center states or union territories.
