Covid-19 Vaccination India: The Center has placed a new order with the Serum Institute of India to supply 100 million doses of the AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccine from Oxford. According to official sources, the price of each Covishield vaccine is Rs 157.50, which includes GST. HLL Lifecare Limited, a public sector undertaking, has issued a supply order on 12 March by the Union Ministry of Health. The order has been issued in the name of Prakash Kumar Singh, who is the director of Government and Regulatory Affairs at SII based in Pune.
Health Ministry will bear the expenses
The Health Ministry will raise the price of 10 crore doses under the budgetary allocation made for this purpose. Sources said that the first audience of the vaccine will be spent through the PM Cares Fund.
