Covid-19 Cases in India: The danger of the second wave of coronavirus epidemic in the country is increasing daily. Earlier, more cases were registered on 11 November 2020. With new cases, the number of people dying of infection is also increasing. 213 patients have died in 1 day. After January 13, the death toll has crossed 200. At the same time, the number of active cases in the country has crossed 3,45,000. In the last 1 month, active cases have increased by 90 percent.
Maharashtra most affected
It is clear that despite large-scale vaccination, corona cases are steadily increasing. Maharashtra has been the most affected state. On Sunday, 30,535 new cases of corona have been registered in Maharashtra. This is the highest number of daily cases since March 2020. The total number of corono virus cases in the state has increased to 24,79,682. Strict restrictions have been imposed in Pune, Aurangabad, Nashik and Thane cities in view of the growing corona infection. Talking for 1 day, 99 people died in Maharashtra alone. 44 people have died in Punjab, 13 in Kerala and 10 in Chhattisgarh and 9 in Tamil Nadu.
Sharp jump in infection rate
There has been a 67 percent increase in new cases of infection during the last one week. During these seven days more than one lakh people have come under the grip of Corona. During this period, the death rate has also increased by 41 percent. In the last 7 days, 1239 people have lost the maximum after the last 9 weeks. However, it is a matter of relief that the death rate in India is much lower than the previous wave. Talking about the past week, between Monday and Sunday, 2.6 lakh new cases have been reported across the country. Whereas 1.55 lakh new cases were reported last week.
Delhi: 823 cases in 24 hours
In Delhi, 823 new cases of corona infection have been reported in the last 24 hours. While 663 people have recovered and 1 has died. This is the largest figure in Delhi after 14 December. So far, a total of 6,47,984 cases of corona virus have been reported in the state.
State of other states
2644 new cases have been registered in Punjab. There have been 239 new cases of coronavirus in Chandigarh. 1,715 new corona cases have been registered in Karnataka. In Gujarat too, 1580 cases were reported a day, which is the largest figure in four months. 1,000 new cases of COVID-19 have been reported in Chhattisgarh, after which the total number of infected people has increased to 3,24,153 on Sunday.
