Covid 19: Cases of corona infection are rising once again. Due to increasing cases in Maharashtra and Kerala, Karnataka has made it mandatory for people coming from these states to bring negative RT-PCR certificate. This RT-PCR certificate should not be more than 72 hours old. This rule will also apply to those entering the state by flights, trains, bus or any personal vehicle i.e. a negative RT-PCR report of less than 72 hours will have to be shown on entry into Karnataka by any means. Karnataka Health Minister Dr. K Sudhakar said that those coming from Maharashtra and Kerala will not be allowed to enter the state without a negative COVID-19 report.
Fear of second wave of Corona in Maharashtra
The Karnataka government has issued a circular regarding the growing cases of corona in Maharashtra. The government says that the way corona infection cases are increasing in some areas of Maharashtra, it is clear that a second wave of corona has started in Maharashtra. According to the circular, those who do not show negative RT-PCR reports will be immediately taken to the Nodal Person / Authorities and placed in the designated Quarantine Room. They will be kept in the quarantine room until their RT-PCR test report is received negative.

No Brazil or South African strains in Karnataka
The state Health Minister said that on average 4000-5000 cases are being reported every day in Kerala and 5000-6000 cases in Maharashtra and the border of these states is bordering Karnataka, in such a circular has been issued. The Health Minister said that South African or Brazilian strain of Corona has not been found in the state yet. However, some UK travellers coming to Bangalore from the UK were found to have UK strains.
