Setting a new record, 1,45,384 new cases have been reported in India during the last 24 hours on Saturday. The number of COVID-19 cases in the country currently stands at 1,32,05,926. This includes 10,46,631 active cases, 1,19,90,859 recoveries and 1,68,436 deaths. There have been 794 deaths due to corona in India on Friday, which is the highest in a day after October 18, 2020. Meanwhile, the Union Health Ministry said that the total number of COVID-19 vaccine doses in the country has gone beyond 9.80 crores.
Mohan Bhagwat Novel Corona Positive
Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh chief Mohan Bhagwat has tested positive for the novel corona virus. And he has been admitted to a private hospital in Nagpur on Friday. The RSS gave information about this by tweeting it. The tweet said that Mohan Bhagwat was tested positive for COVID on Friday afternoon. He has common symptoms of corona and has been admitted to Kingsway Hospital in Nagpur as a general checkup and precaution. At the age of 70, Bhagwat has taken the first dose of COVID-19 vaccine.
India’s corona virus infection figure crossed 20 lakh on August 7 last year. It crossed 30 lakh on 30 August, 40 lakh on 5 September and 50 lakh on 16 September. This figure had crossed 60 lakh on 28 September, 70 lakh on 11 October, 80 lakh on 29 October, 90 lakh on 20 November and one crore on 19 December.

Highest deaths in Maharashtra
According to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), so far 25,52,14,803 sample tests have been done for viral disease in the country, including 11,73,219 on Friday.
Of 794 deaths, 301 from Maharashtra, 91 from Chhattisgarh, 56 from Punjab, 46 from Karnataka, 42 from Gujarat, 39 from Delhi, 36 from Uttar Pradesh, 32 from Rajasthan, 23 each from Madhya Pradesh and Tamil Nadu, 22 from Kerala, Jharkhand. Includes 17 and 11 each from Andhra Pradesh and Haryana.
Of the total 1,68,436 deaths due to COVID-19 in the country, 57,329 are from Maharashtra. It is followed by Tamil Nadu (12,863), Karnataka (12,813), Delhi (11,196), West Bengal (10,378), Uttar Pradesh (9,039), Punjab (7,390) and Andhra Pradesh (7,279).
