Covid-19 India Update: During the last 24 hours, 39,070 new cases of corona virus have been reported in India. This data was released on Sunday at 8 am. With this, the total number of corona cases in the country has crossed 3.19 crore (3,19,34,455). According to the information given by the Union Health Ministry on Sunday, 491 people died due to COVID-19 in a day. Due to this the total number of deaths from Corona has reached 4,27,862.
Kerala has the highest number of cases
The highest number of COVID-19 cases were reported in Kerala, where again the figure was more than 20 thousand. The number of active cases decreased to 4,06,822 during this period. According to the data, the country’s COVID-19 recovery rate has improved to 1.29 percent. In the last 24 hours, the number of active cases has seen a decline of 5,331 cases.
A total of 17,22,221 tests were conducted for Corona on Saturday, taking the total number of tests done so far to 48,00,39,185. The death rate in comparison to India’s cases is at 1.34 percent.
India on Saturday approved the US pharma company Johnson & Johnson’s COVID-19 vaccine for emergency use. With this, the company’s Indian subsidiary will be able to offer the first single-dose vaccine against the corona virus in India for commercial use. The single-dose vaccine has been developed by Janssen Pharmaceuticals, a subsidiary of J&J. And it has been found to be 85 percent effective in preventing serious disease in Phase 3 clinical trials.

In this way it has become the fourth vaccine available in India. At present, three vaccines of Corona are being used in India. These are – Covaxin, Kovishield and the Russian vaccine Sputnik-V. Vaccination is being done in the country with the help of these three vaccines.
