Covid-19 cases Update: In India, 25,320 new cases of corona virus have been reported on Sunday. This is the largest increase in the number of cases in a day in 84 days. This brings the total number of cases to 1,13,59,048. The Union Health Ministry has given this information. On December 20, 26,624 new cases were reported.
161 dead
The death toll has reached 1,58,607. On Sunday, it has a figure of 161 people, which is a record in 44 days. This is according to the data released at 8 am. The number of active cases in the country has increased to 2,10,544, which is 1.85 percent of the total infection. The recovery rate came down to 96.75 percent, from 96.82 percent on Saturday.
According to the data, the number of people recovering from the disease has risen to 1,09,89,897, while the case mortality rate is 1.40 per cent.
In India, the COVID-19 data crossed the 20 lakh mark on 7 August, 30 lakh on 23 August, 40 lakh on 5 September and 50 lakh on 16 September. It crossed 60 lakh on 28 September, 70 lakh on 11 October, 80 lakh on 29 October, 90 lakh on 20 November and 1 crore on 19 December.
According to the Indian Council of Medical Research, till March 13, 22,67,03,641 sample tests were done, in which 8,64,368 new tests have been done on Saturday. Of the 161 deaths, 88 are from Maharashtra, 22 from Punjab and 12 from Kerala.
Highest deaths in Maharashtra
So far 1,58,607 deaths have been reported in the country, of which 52,811 have been reported in Maharashtra, 12,543 Tamil Nadu, 12,387 Karnataka, 10,939 Delhi, 10,288 West Bengal, 8,745 Uttar Pradesh and 7,182 in Andhra Pradesh. The Health Ministry emphasized that more than 70 percent of the deaths were due to comorbidities.
Let me tell you that the crisis of Corona epidemic is increasing rapidly once again. After Maharashtra’s Thane and Nagpur, now lockdown is being imposed in Aurangabad district. Due to increasing cases of corona infection, a complete lockdown has been imposed on weekends in Aurangabad. Apart from this, weekend lockdown has been imposed in Nagpur, while there will be complete lockdown continuously from March 15-21.
