On Saturday, 41,434 new cases of corona virus infection were reported in Maharashtra and 13 patients died. With this, the total number of infected in the state increased to 68,75,656 while the number of dead rose to 1,41, 627. In this way, the number of patients under treatment in Maharashtra is currently 1,73,238. Significantly, on Friday, 40,925 cases of infection were reported in the state and 20 patients died.
Similarly, on Saturday, 20,318 new cases of corona infection have been reported in Mumbai. During this, 5 people have also died. However, Mumbai Mayor Kishori Pednekar has clearly said that the weekend curfew will not be imposed in the financial capital yet. He also says that there is a facility of 2500 beds at BKC Jumbo COVID 19 Center. But till now the good thing is that not a single ICU patient has come. The center currently has 936 patients. But no one is even in need of oxygen support so far.
Here, after the arrival of about 42 thousand new corona cases in the entire Maharashtra, the state government has now announced new restrictions. According to him, from January 10, there will be night curfew in the state from 11 pm to 5 am. Swimming pool, gym, spa, beauty salon, zoo, museum, entertainment park will remain closed. The same hair cutting salons and malls will be able to run with 50 percent capacity. Schools, colleges, coaching institutes will remain closed till 15th February. Hotels, restaurants, cinema halls, auditoriums should have 50 percent seating capacity. At the same time, only home delivery of food can be done.
