Lessons learned from earlier dry runs

According to the Union Health Minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan, the things learned from the earlier practice will be used to improve the second dry run. Whatever was lacking before has been fixed, and they will be tested in Friday’s dry run. Earlier, on 28 and 29 December, a dry run was organized in 4 states of the country.
What is the government’s vaccination plan?
The government has divided the entire vaccination into 3 phases. The vaccine will be delivered to the primary health center in the first phase. In the second phase, the beneficiary will be identified and in the third phase, there will be monitoring after vaccination. Guidelines have been issued to explain the entire process in detail to each state. The Union Health Ministry recently said that the states and the union territories are expected to get the first supply of COVID-19 vaccines soon. They were also told to be ready to take delivery.
Transportation Preparation
After the approval of the Corona vaccine, the government has also completed the transportation preparations. The government has prepared a complete plan for the vaccine movement by airways. There are reports that this process can start in a couple of days at many airports in the country. Passenger airplanes will also be used to carry the vaccine. There is a plan to provide vaccine to primary health center in phase-1. The existing vaccine delivery system will be used for this. The vaccine will be delivered from the center to the vaccine stores in the states and then to the districts.
What are the considerations in the dry run?
The entire process of giving the vaccine dose in a dry run is followed. During this time connectivity, infrastructure, refrigeration and transportation will be tested.
