Mumbai. Waterways Leisure Tourism said on Tuesday that the passengers on board the Cordelia cruise last Sunday were not only fully immunized, but all of them tested negative while on board the RT-PCR test. The cruise liner said in a statement that all the guests who have been confirmed for the infection do not have symptoms.
Also said that Cordelia Cruises is following all the rules of Directorate General of Shipping and COVID Protocol. It also said that the company is cooperating fully with the port authorities, state, central and all other agencies and offices in this regard.
The company said that due to the increasing cases of Omicron as of today, in consultation with the Directorate General of Shipping, the departure of the cruise on January 5 has been postponed. The statement came after 66 of the 2,000 people on board the cruise liner to celebrate the New Year were confirmed to have the infection when the ship arrived in Goa from Mumbai.

Jürgen Bylom, Chief Executive Officer and President of Waterways Leisure Tourism, said in a statement, “All the guests at the time of boarding the ship last Sunday had their RT-PCR test results negative. He was fully vaccinated. However, last Sunday, a crew member and another personnel showed mild symptoms of infection.
That crew member was immediately isolated and all guests and crew members were re-examined, the statement said. Their test results confirmed that some guests and a crew member were infected. It is mandatory for all guests and crew members on board the ship to have both doses of the COVID vaccine, the statement said. (agency)
