Washim. The construction work of railway flyover in Washim is in the final stages. Due to which people are now waiting for the start of the flyover. After a long wait, the work of railway flyover on Washim-Pusad road has started. Now that construction work has reached the final stages, the possibility of the launch of this flyover is being told in the coming few days.
However, on 26 January 2022, Guardian Minister Shambhuraj Desai had given instructions to start the construction of the flyover within 15 days. But it could not be started due to some work being left, while due to the problems being faced by the four wheelers, travel, freight trucks and other vehicles commuting through this route, everyone is eagerly waiting for the start of this flyover.
train movement starts
Washim district was created on 1st July 1998. Washim is situated on the Akola-Purna rail route. Initially, meter gauge trains used to run from this railway station, constructed in the year 1963, but for the convenience of traveling and increasing rail passengers, this railway route has been converted into broad gauge. From 11th November 2008, Akola-Washim-Hingoli-Purna Passenger Express with Freight trains started from Hyderabad to Ajmer, Nanded to Ganganagar, Intercity train from 11th November 2008.
road traffic affected
The traffic of this route was affected after the arrival of the train on this route going from near the city. There is only one route to go from Washim to Pusad, Amravati, Nagpur, Yavatmal. Vehicles going to Hingoli, Parbhani, Nanded, Hyderabad by this route are frequent. And with this, due to the presence of many villages on this route, traffic starts for the villagers to come to the city headquarters 24 hours a day. There was a delay in reaching the sick person to the hospital due to the railway gate being closed.
impact on education
Due to the presence of many villages on this route, students coming from rural areas to Washim city used to delay going to school due to the closure of railway gates, which is also affecting their education. This gate remains closed for 10 minutes at the time of arrival of every train, so there was a demand for construction of flyover on this route, due to non-availability of flyover, everyone is facing trouble but now the construction work of this flyover is in final stages. Citizens are waiting for the commencement of the flyover as the road is likely to be open for traffic in the coming few days.
