Actress Taapsee Pannu was on Friday honored with the ‘Entertainment Leader of the Year’ award at CNBC-TV18’s India Business Leaders Awards (IBLA) 2022. Producer-director Karan Johar and actress Deepika Padukone have also received this award earlier. During the Corona epidemic, when many actor-actresses disappeared from the public eye, Taapsee Pannu remained very active in public during this period.
Taapsee played lead roles in more than 10 films in the last one year and almost all the roles were completely different from each other. It ranges from romantic thriller Haseen Dilruba to sports movie Rashmi Rocket and sci-fi film Loop Lapeta etc.
Apart from this, a Telugu film named ‘Mission Impossible’ has also been released by Taapsee. It is an action comedy movie in which Taapsee plays the role of investigative journalist.

In the last 12 months, Taapsee Pannu has also launched her own production house, Outsider Films. The first film of this production house is ‘Blur’, in which Taapsee plays the lead role and is expected to release soon. Taapsee has also been a vocal voice for gender equality in the film industry and is working to bring ‘outsiders’ from the industry or people who have no ties to the industry into the mainstream.
In an interview to Moneycontrol earlier this year, Pannu had told, “When I entered the acting world, I started choosing films that were very different in terms of my mood, feel and going on the sets. It’s scary to keep going on the same path of life.”
Taapsee, 35, started her career in 2010 with the Telugu film Jhummandi Nadaan and made her debut in Hindi films with the film ‘Chashme Baddoor’. Taapsee has proved her mettle in many films like Pink, Mulk, Naam Shabana, Badla, Game Over and Saand Ki Aankh.
