On getting this, enroll the child in the nearest school, do the holy work of taking advantage of the facilities of the government. Making someone wise is the most sacred act of life.
CM Yogi said that it is not only our moral obligation to educate every child, but it is also a national duty. Education is the factor of change in the life of every person. If the individual is capable of education, then the society will be capable and the nation will be empowered. For this it is necessary that we pay special attention to basic education. At the launch of School Chalo Abhiyan, the Chief Minister while mentioning comparative facts about basic education in the state said that in the year 2017, there were 1 crore 34 lakh children in basic education schools. School buildings were dilapidated. Peepal, Banyan may not have been planted on the ground, but they used to grow on the buildings of the schools. Basic necessities like toilets and drinking water were missing. There was no time to travel. Anarchy and disorder prevailed. There were more dropouts than enrollment in schools.

Things changed within 3 years
The CM said that after 2017 there has been a radical change in the situation in just three years. School Chalo Abhiyan, rejuvenation of schools and sensitivity towards education of the government have resulted in the enrollment of 18 million children in three years. Now this number has to be increased to two crores. Along with the education of every child, the government is sending money to the accounts of parents for his bag, uniform, shoe-stocking, sweater in winter. The result of all this has strengthened the foundation of education.

Rejuvenation of 1.34 lakh schools
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that there are 1.58 lakh council schools in the state. In the first three years after 2017, more than 90 thousand schools were covered with all necessary facilities by running Operation Kayakalp. Now this number has increased to 1.34 lakh. In Operation Kayakalp, public representatives, officials and old students also played an important role by adopting schools and arranging resources for them. The Chief Minister said that under Operation Kayakalp, he made arrangements for furniture for the children to sit in the council schools from his MLA fund.
People’s representatives should adopt council schools
The Chief Minister once again appealed that MPs, MLAs, MLCs, District Panchayat Presidents, Mayors, Chairman of Bodies, Councilors, Pradhan etc. public representatives, officers, old students should adopt one council school and join its rejuvenation.
Efforts should be made to improve the present for future generations
CM Yogi said that if we try to improve the present of the future generation, then the future can also be made brighter. The number of children in basic education in Uttar Pradesh is not equal to that of many states and also the population of many countries of the world. Efforts have been made to provide a better environment for basic education. Changes have been made in the syllabus as per NCERT.

For this it should be our resolve to send every child to school. Not a single child should be left behind. Children of 3 to 5 years of age will have to do the work of shaping the future of the country by getting admission in pre-primary of Anganwadi and children above 5 years in basic schools. He said that even if migrants or workers of any other state have come here for four-six months, their children should be enrolled in schools.
Regular review is essential for the success of the campaign.
The Chief Minister said that for the success of the School Chalo Abhiyan, it is necessary that it should be reviewed regularly. Teachers should go to the village panchayat related to the school and talk to the parents and motivate them to send their children to school. Keep on reviewing the progress of Headmaster enrollment. At the government level also, the campaign should be reviewed every week that how many children have been enrolled. Along with this, the Chief Minister directed to review the utilization of funds to be sent to the accounts of the parents for the uniforms etc. of the children. Said that it has to be seen that after the money comes, arrangements have been made for the child like uniform, bag, shoe-stocking etc.
Sports and creative activities should also be encouraged in schools
CM Yogi said that there is a need to promote sports and other creative activities along with good education in schools. For this, along with the Education Department, there is a need to work in coordination with the Department of Rural Development, Urban Development, Child Development, etc. There is great power in inter-departmental coordination. The Chief Minister said that every school should have a sports ground. There should be provision of pure drinking water. It should be covered by technology. To deal with an epidemic like Corona, children should be ready for online education in future. With this focus we have to achieve the goals of Prerna and Diksha app. CM said that if we clear the goal and work with a dedicated spirit, then every work can be possible.
Excellent corona management under the leadership of PM Modi
Recalling the two-year period of the global pandemic Corona era, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that India’s brilliant corona management under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi was praised all over the world. Under the leadership of the PM, a lot of efforts were made to save lives as well as lives. Every sphere of life was affected during the pandemic. School education had the biggest impact. The CM said that under the guidance of PM Modi, Uttar Pradesh has set an example of corona management. He informed that more than 30 crore COVID vaccine doses have been made available in the state.
Increasing number of children in council schools
Welcoming Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath at the launch of School Chalo Abhiyan, Basic Education Minister Sandeep Singh said that the number of children in basic schools has increased during the five years of Yogi’s tenure. He said that from 2012 to 2017, where there was a decline in the number of children in council schools by 21 lakh, from 2017 to 2022, 22 lakh new children joined the council schools. The phone said that under the School Chalo campaign, the target is to cross the number of children in council schools from 20 million.
CM inspired children to study a lot by giving them education kits
At the launch of School Chalo Abhiyan, the Chief Minister distributed education kits to three boys of class one and two girls of class six. CM honored the headmaster, head and teachers for their contribution in the field of education, besides providing Braille Kit-Hearing Aid to four differently-abled children in the program. On this occasion, the Chief Minister also observed a documentary film on education and self-defense and gymnastics performance of the girls of Kasturba Vidyalaya. District Panchayat President Daddan Mishra, MLA Ram Feran Pandey, Principal Secretary Basic Education Deepak Kumar etc. were also present in the program.
