Raipur: Amidst the ongoing debate over ‘The Kashmir Files’, a film based on the displacement of Kashmiri Pandits, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has claimed that half of the film has Only incomplete truth has been shown and only violence has been tried.
Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel said this while interacting with reporters after watching ‘The Kashmir Files’ along with his cabinet members, Congress MLAs and senior leaders in Raipur on Wednesday. He said, “The Kashmir Files” is a film made on the terrorist incidents that happened in Kashmir. It is the story of a family, with which the film moves forward. But the hero who is in the end says that not only Hindus, but there were also murders of Buddhists, Sikhs, Muslims, who were with India.
There is no message in this “Kashmir Files” movie, everything is half incomplete.
It is just an attempt to show violence.

He said, “In this film an attempt has been made to give a political message that Kashmiri Pandits have been displaced. That was the period of 1990 in which VP Singh was the Prime Minister, with the support of the Bharatiya Janata Party. They didn’t stop the exodus of Kashmiri Pandits, they let them go.” Baghel said, “Army was not sent there. Army was sent when former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi raised this issue in Lok Sabha. Targeting the BJP, the Chief Minister said, “The problem of Kashmiri Pandits remains the same even today. Article 370 was removed but the work of settling Kashmiri Pandits is not being done.
The Chief Minister said that even in this film no solution has been given to the problem, when the problem is raised in the film, the solution is also told, but the director has not given any solution, has given “only lecture”. The chief minister claimed that the central government had only done politics after the abrogation of Article 370 and did nothing to help the Kashmiri Pandits. The Chief Minister had also invited BJP MLAs to watch the film but he did not turn up. Regarding this, he tweeted and said, “Stand in front of the BJP people, then you run away. No BJP person came to watch the film.”
