Betul: Bhopal 12 February 2022 Madhya Pradesh has reached the highest position in the country, touching new heights in the field of agricultural development. Madhya Pradesh today claims to be the number one state in the production of pulses and oilseeds, with seven times the prestigious Krishi Karman Award by the Government of India for record agricultural production and brilliant planning to increase it. Not only this, Madhya Pradesh also holds the top position in the production of soybean and urad, while the state ranks second in the country in the production of wheat, lentils, maize and sesame.
To celebrate the growth and development in the field of agriculture and to make the farmers of the state more empowered, the Madhya Pradesh State Government organized a special program under the leadership of Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan in which ‘Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana’ from Betul district. Under this, 49 lakh claims of ₹ 7600 crore were paid to the farmers of the state through a single click.

The program formally started with Kanya Pujan. It was a symbol of the fact that only when the daughters would study and progress, not only Madhya Pradesh but the whole of India would move ahead on the path of progress by becoming self-reliant. Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister, Government of India, Shri Narendra Singh Tomar, who joined the program through virtual platform, said after greeting the people that today is a historic occasion for Madhya Pradesh.
It has always been the intention of the Chief Minister of the state, Shivraj Singh ji, to provide maximum benefits to the farmers. Today is the first time when such a huge amount of crop insurance is being deposited in the account of farmers simultaneously, I congratulate the CM and Agriculture Minister of MP on this occasion. The progress made in the field of agriculture under the leadership of Shivraj Singh Chouhan ji in the last 15 years is mentioned on the map of the country. He further said that the 6 priorities of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s self-reliant India are village, poor, farmer, dalit, women and youth. The progress of the country depends on their progress.
Shri Tomar said that farmers should not face any problem to take the money of crop insurance scheme, but if there is any damage on the crop, they should have a protective cover. Till now, Rs 1 lakh 15 thousand crore has been given to the farmers. It is a historic opportunity to compensate farmers for Rs 7600 crore in lieu of premium of Rs 888 crore.
Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan in his address after transferring the amount to the farmers’ account through single click said, “We have deposited Rs.7618 crore now, but when the crops were damaged then Rs.2876 crore as relief amount. assistance was given. That is, 10 thousand 494 crore rupees have been given to the farmers in the form of crop insurance and relief amount.
Describing the account of the last 22 months, the Chief Minister said that till now Rs 1 lakh 64 thousand 737 crore has been deposited in the accounts of farmers through different times and schemes. Agriculture Minister Shri Kamal Patel, Betul MP Durgadas Uike, MLA Dr. Yogesh Pandarkar, BJP District President Aditya Shukla Babla, BJP State Vice President Pankaj Joshi, Kisan Morcha President Darshan Morya, ACS-Ajit Kesari and many other dignitaries were present in the program. .
