Delhi Deputy Chief Minister and Education Minister Manish Sisodia said on the cancellation of the 12th examinations that he welcomes the decision. This decision is in the interest of students and teachers. Earlier, he had made the same demand. Students should be calculated on their earlier performance.
Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said that after discussions with ministers, states and students, PM Modi has today announced the cancellation of CBSE’s 12th class examinations to secure the health and future of the youth. He said that this is a good decision and a big step for the next generation.

What did the schools say on the decision?
At the same time, schools have also welcomed this decision of the central government and called it correct. Praveen Raju, co-chairman of FICCI Arise and founder of Suchitra Academy, said that in view of today’s situation, canceling CBSE board exams is the right decision. He said that they could not take the exam without playing with the safety of the children. So they welcome this decision.
Vishnu Karthik, CEO, The Heritage Schools, said that with this decision to cancel the board exams, the matter has become clear to the students and parents and everyone’s stress has also been reduced. However, taking this decision was not easy considering the seriousness of class 12 examinations for admission to a university. But the government had no option as the health of the students is at the top. He said that now the challenge before the CBSE is to establish an alternative standard of evaluation for class 12th.
Charu Wahi, principal of Nirmal Bhartiya School also supported this decision. He said that this decision has been taken in the interest of children. However, the subsequent process is also of equal importance and is very important in setting the standard of evaluation of children. He said that it has to be kept in mind that many children do wholeheartedly till the last stage preparations and hence they should be given appropriate benefits.
