Nagpur. Citizens residing in the Sangh Building complex still shudder to remember that scene of June 1, 2006. At 4 in the morning, suddenly, the rumble of bullets in the campus made everyone sleepy. The attack of fidayeen was foiled by the bravehearts of Nagpur Police. The ambassador car of the terrorists riddled with police bullets is still standing in the courtyard of the Kotwali police station and that scene reminds me.
A decade has passed since the case was closed, but even after 15 years have passed, many unresolved questions still remain. There was no clue of the owner of the car in which the terrorists had come. Even Zaibuddin Ansari of Beed, who helped the terrorists, is still not known.
63 rounds were fired
During the interrogation of a terrorist arrested in UP, the IB got information about the plan of attack on the Sangh building. That is why the then police commissioner SPS Yadav appointed Sub Inspector Rajendra Tiwari, Arvind Saraf, G.A. More, Head Constable Mithilesh Tripathi, Prithviraj Chauhan, Constable Kuldeep Petkar, Kishore Mahant, Akhilesh Rai, Gajanan Pesne and Vijay Gaikwad had formed a special team. It was these bravehearts who took the iron from the terrorists. The terrorists were killed by firing 63 rounds by the police. While the terrorists fired 70 rounds.
was registered in Kashmir
The white colored red beacon in which the terrorists had come in the police uniform had different number plates. The rear number plate was MH-20/8979 and the front plate number was MH-01/A-0489. This number plate was made by a painter from central Nagpur itself.
Through the engine and chassis number, it was revealed that the car was registered in the name of a person named Mahajan in Kashmir. The local RTO had given this car in the name of Mahajan only on an affidavit, when no such person existed. That is why the investigation of the vehicle could not proceed further. It is said that the car was brought from the container. Terrorists had boarded it from Patna.
Who was Zaibuddin Ansari?
Such a big conspiracy could not have been done without the help of a local person. That is why the police tried to find out the local support. Then the name of Zaibuddin Ansari came up. First he was searched in the city. Then it came to know that Jaibudin is a resident of Beed. Despite a lot of searching, no whereabouts of Zaibuddin was found.
neither shoulder nor soil
The terrorists killed in the police encounter Afzal Ahmed Butt, Bilal Ahmed Butt and Mohammad Usman Habib were Pakistanis. Like every time, the neighboring country also refused to recognize him. In such a situation, the police had handed over the graveyard of Imamwara. It is believed that some member of the family comes and puts soil on the grave. The cemetery was monitored 24 hours a day for about a month but no one came. Neither the terrorists got any shoulder nor the soil was in the hands of the family members.
