Canada has announced to send 10 million Canadian dollars (about 60 crores) to help Coronavirus in India fighting the war. Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has announced that the money sent by his government will help India buy other essentials like ambulances, PPE kits. This amount is coming to India at a time when every day records of corona are coming in India. Due to this, there is a lot of burden on the health system of the country.
This amount will be provided to the Canadian Red Cross, which will transfer to the Indian Red Cross Society. Justin Trudeau said on Tuesday that this is something that every Canadian citizen is worried about. We are deeply concerned about the frightening pictures coming out of India. We know that we have to help our friends there. This amount is coming at a time when Canadian Foreign Minister Mark Gernue spoke to his Indian counterpart S. Jaishankar. During this time Gernue offered assistance from Ottawa to deal with the crisis.
Delivery of oxygen concentrator, ventilator and medicines will also happen soon
The Canadian Prime Minister said, we can help in any way, and continuous talks are being done in this regard. On the other hand, preparations are also being made to send relief materials from Canada. This includes oxygen concentrators, ventilators and medicines, which are coming from emergency reserves in Canada. Ottawa has expressed solidarity with the Government of India and promised to provide all possible help to it.
Work is being done to provide all possible help to India
There is a continuous dialogue between the two countries regarding the epidemic. Canadian Public Service and Procurement Minister Anita Anand said that they are working closely with Gernau and International Development Minister Kareena Goold to ensure that India is provided all possible help. Anand said that he also spoke with Canadian High Commissioner Nadir Patel in New Delhi and Indian High Commissioner in Ottawa Ajay Bisaria. This conversation was held to find the necessary supplies in India. Also, an attempt was made to know how Canada can help India.
